Tirlebrook Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent, passionate and experienced teaching SENDCo to
As SENDCo, you will:
lead and manage the schools SEND provision, ensuring high-quality and inclusive practice across all year
support the strategic development of SEND across the school, including contributing towards the SDP
provide / arrange training opportunities for colleagues
ensure all members of school staff understand their role in fulfilling their statutory responsibilities to
identify resources required to meet the needs of pupils with SEND
oversee the work, professional development and appraisal of Teaching Partners across the school
manage the SEND budget, in collaboration with the Headteacher
work closely with staff, families and external agencies to support pupils with a range of needs
drive forward our inclusive ethos, ensuring every child can thrive and succeed
monitor progress, support high-quality teaching and ensure effective use of resources
As a class teacher, you will:
deliver engaging, high-quality lessons
create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
inspire children through an inclusive curriculum
We are looking for someone who:
is a qualified teacher with experience of working with pupils with SEND
holds (or is willing to work towards) the NPQ SENCO (previously known as the NASENCO)
has a deep understanding of inclusive practice and a passion for supporting all learners
is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
can motivate and support colleagues to deliver high-quality provision
is committed to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all children
