The Role
Do you have the vision, leadership, and innovation to shape the digital future of a forward-thinking multi-academy trust?
We’re looking for a dynamic Strategic IT Lead to spearhead our digital transformation journey. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll define and deliver a cutting-edge Trust-wide IT strategy, ensuring our systems drive both educational excellence and operational efficiency.
You will be required to:
- Lead the development and execution of our IT strategy aligned with our Trust Improvement Plan.
- Lead and develop our skilled IT team to form a central Trust service, nurturing a high-performance culture across schools and college, wider Trust activities and central functions.
- Champion innovation and transformation through effective digital systems across all sites.
- Oversee major Trust-wide projects, infrastructure, security, and compliance, including Cyber accreditations.
- Serve as the principal IT adviser to the COO, senior leaders, and school teams.
- Deliver outstanding, secure, and scalable IT services that meet the needs of staff, learners, and the wider community.
What you will need:
- A qualification in an ICT-related subject (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record of leading IT strategies and operations in complex, multi-site environments.
- Technical knowledge (e.g., Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtual environments, firewalls).
- Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Passion for innovation, service excellence, and driving positive change.
Why Join Us?
- A Trust committed to collaboration, professional growth, and innovation.
- Flexible hybrid working with core hours.
- A culture built on our values of integrity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- The chance to shape the future of digital learning and infrastructure for a family of diverse education settings and services.
It is envisaged that this full time, year-round, role will be undertaken through a blended approach of working in our academies/college, at home and at the Trust’s central office in Rossendale.
