About us:

Unity MAT is an exciting, ambitious Multi Academy Trust currently made up of three special schools within the Warwickshire area, these being Brooke School in Rugby, Welcombe Hills School in Stratford Upon Avon and Woodlands School in Coleshill.

Our central services functions, including Finance, HR, Site & Facilities and IT have recently been centralised to form the Trust’s Core Services Team. We believe that this enhances our commitment to providing high quality support services to all of our schools and beyond.

The Role:

We are looking for a skilled IT Technician to join our IT Support Team. In this role, you will provide technical support to staff and students at Brooke School in Rugby as your primary location, with occasional remote support for other schools within the trust. Periodic travel to these schools may also be required. Your main responsibilities will include providing day-to-day IT support, assisting teaching staff and administrative teams in utilising technology effectively.

This position is well-suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced educational environment and is passionate about making a positive impact across Unity MAT schools. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in Windows environments, networking, and AV systems, as well as the capability to manage hardware and software support tickets efficiently.

Summary of skill requirements:

  • Operational knowledge of IT hardware and software.
  • Operational knowledge of OS environments (Windows 10/11, iOS and iPadOS).
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies (Microsoft 365, InTune, Azure and more).
  • Working knowledge of VoIP telephony systems.
  • Good knowledge of Group Policy management and configuration policy creation.
  • Technical knowledge of common user applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify and replace faulty hardware.
