5 days per week, term time only (plus two weeks in school holidays)
St. Joseph's is an over-subscribed, Catholic, one-form entry primary school, in the south of Birmingham. We are looking to appoint a cleaner, to commence as soon as possible. They will be hardworking and committed to providing an excellent cleaning service. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
Duties
To arrive for work on time and wear the correct clothing for the tasks you will undertake during your shift.
To sign in and out of the building.
To empty all waste bins and remove to the appropriate rubbish bin outside.
To clean all surface areas e.g. desk, shelves, filing cabinet etc. without disturbing people or their belongings.
To damp wipe all highs and low.
To clean all interior glass e.g., glass panels in door, partition wall, glass table, reachable windows etc.
To vacuum/sweep all areas and mop any hard floors.
Clean male and female toilets, washbasins and tiles etc. Replenish toilet rolls and hand towels.
To ensure all task are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety including putting out safety signs were necessary.
Operate Water flushing system when assigned to do so.
Report any defects seen which are likely to affect security i.e. broken/cracked window, etc. to the Site Manager
Other relevant cleaning jobs around the building and on grounds as directed by Sites Manager and school staff.
