Salary: NJC Grade D - £24,702 - £26,421 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We require a Maintenance Caretaker from August 2024 who is enthusiastic and passionate about the standards of the school premises and grounds, ensuring it is a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

We are looking for an individual with:

• Excellent communication skills
• A competent level of IT skills
• A high level of competency in maintenance
• A good knowledge of Health & Safety
• Professional, confidential, well-organised, innovative and flexible
• Places the child firmly at the centre of everything they do

The successful candidate will:

• Maintain the school buildings and grounds
• Undertake routine building and general site maintenance tasks, internal and externally, as and when required
• Work alongside the lead administrator and senior leadership team to make alterations, repairs and improvements
• Be the first point of contact for contractors following the contractors on site Ventrus Policy and safeguarding
• Complete Health and Safety and compliance checks on time and recorded following policy and procedures in place
• Manage the security of the school site
• Support the cleaning staff to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
• Other duties as set out in the job description

This is a permanent full-time position working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
