The Merchant Taylors’ Oxfordshire Academy Trust (MTOAT) is looking to appoint a new Finance Director to play a key role in the operation and future development of the Trust. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and will be both a leader and team player.
MTOAT is based in Wallingford and currently consists of Wallingford School, Brightwell Primary School and Bucks UTC, all of which are popular, oversubscribed schools rated as “Good” by Ofsted.
The Finance Director will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team which meets regularly to set the strategic direction of the Trust and plan, organise, monitor and evaluate its work. He or she will be line-managed by the Trust CEO and will work closely with the Trust Operations Director.
You should be an experienced financial leader with an established track record of financial management. An educational or charity background may be an advantage but is not essential and we welcome applications from other sectors. This is an important appointment and we welcome questions and/or visits from candidates who may wish to find out more about the role.
