The Vacancy
Salary: NJC Grade E - £24,432 - £27,514 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 33 hours per week (Mondays - 8.30am-4.00pm, Tuesdays to Fridays - 8.30am-3.30pm. All days worked include a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak), 39 weeks per year
We are seeking to recruit an experienced HLTA (E Grade) to work within the English department.
We are looking for an individual who has experience and knowledge of the English curriculum, phonics teaching and strategies to support students with additional needs.
The role involves team teaching with our English teachers, small group or 1:1 interventions, in-class coaching, and the implementation of strategies to motivate and support students to become successful learners. We're at a really exciting point at Pilton with our development of literacy support - we'd love for the successful candidate to be involved with this.
The Break, lunch and other extra-curricular duties are included within contracted hours as necessary, and the successful applicant must have the capacity and willingness to have some flexibility in start and finish times of the day to facilitate support-base provisions and team needs. This role also has a requirement to cover lessons across the school as necessary.
