Who are we?

The SASH Education Trust (Slough Association of Secondary Headteachers) comes from a unique, innovative and collaborative partnership involving the headteachers of the existing secondary schools in Slough.

It currently consists of 2 schools; Ditton Park Academy and Grove Academy

Ditton Park Academy is a 11-19 School. They moved into their £19m new build in 2017.

Grove Academy is an all-ages School. They are currently sited in a temporary building on Wellington Street.

The ICT support team was initially established at Ditton Park Academy.

As the trust is growing, we are looking to provide centralized services and one of the first steps as part of this is to expand our team in order to provide excellent ICT across all the schools.

What does the role involve?

The role plays a key part in providing day-to-day support.

You would be expected to provide high quality support to staff and students of all ages and experience levels.

Often during the holidays, it will be all hands-on deck as we do project work to help enhance our systems and keeping them running smoothly.

The role would work between sites as required.  In general, the team will rotate between the sites.

This will allow us to transfer skills and best practices across the schools. This will be reviewed and adjusted as the role develops.

Who would fit well?

We are looking for people who are ambitious and that want to continuously develop.

A large part of the role is delivering services to Staff, Students and Visitors so experience in a customer-facing role is highly advantageous.

Communication is a key aspect of the role; the ability to be calm and reassuring and being able to explain complex ideas in simple terms are skills that would be invaluable.

If we are doing things properly, then the day to day tasks should run like clockwork.

This then gives time to allow the team to explore new technology and ideas to help us progress forward.

A passion for ICT and technology would be a good fit.

School’s ICT is highly varied, we don’t expect you to be an expert in all areas, but we are looking for someone who is able to pick up new concepts and ideas quickly.
