Salary: NJC Grade E - £26,357 - £29,439 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
Working Pattern: This is a part-time, permanent position working 16 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
We are seeking to recruit an effective, creative, passionate, and ambitious practitioner to drive forward and expand our onsite interventions at Pilton.
The forest school will be developed as part of our strategy to help students make sense on their world or reengage with their education. Your role will be to work with our SENDCO to develop a creative, meaningful and age appropriate programme for pupils to experience learning in the outdoor environment. The right candidate will have the highest expectations; we believe our students are brilliant and can achieve wonderful things with the right teacher.
The suitable candidate for this essential position will be:
an excellent, experienced practitioner with a proven record of well planned forest school delivery
an excellent pastoral leader
able to implement forest school intervention for individuals and groups across a range of abilities and learning needs
committed to maintaining and nurturing our ethos where all pupils can achieve and have their needs met
experienced in trauma informed practice
ambitious and keen to develop a new forest school
