Design and Technology Technician

LGPS Grade 4, Points 04-05 (£18,933 - £19,312 pro rata)


We are seeking to appoint a part-time Technician to the D&T department in this outstanding comprehensive secondary school, to start in January 2021.


The post is for 20-25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 2.30pm, term time only and will be remunerated on LGPS Grade 4, Points 04-05 pro rata, which is £18,933 - £19,312 (£9.81 - £10.01 per hour), dependent on experience.


Amongst other tasks you would be required to prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons and maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with Health and Safety requirements. The ability to work unsupervised, support the work of students aged 11-18 and work closely with subject teachers is essential.


Whilst some experience in this area is desirable, full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.


Bartholomew School is a successful and over-subscribed school providing comprehensive education for over 1300 students in the village of Eynsham, some 5 miles from the centre of Oxford. The school is founded on a positive and caring community ethos.
