We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic Music teacher to teach music across the full ability range at Key Stages 3 and 4. A strong knowledge of music technology and a passion for the subject are essential.


This is a part-time, permanent position working 0.5 FTE 39 weeks per year, as of September 2020*. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Music teacher, or Newly Qualified Music teacher, to join our friendly and rapidly improving school in Barnstaple. The successful candidate will be a creative practitioner who delivers engaging and imaginative lessons, with a specialist knowledge of music technology through all Key Stages. You will have a commitment to supporting our broad range of extra-curricular activities that enable our students to explore their enjoyment of the subject and develop their creative skills further.

*Please note that at present the Trust is considering a range of potential starts dates for the appointment to this post. The start date could be at any time from 1st September to 1st November, and accordingly if there are any restrictions that mean that you would not be able to comply with a start date within the range referred to above, you are asked to include such information within your application. Please note that your not being able to commence work during the entire range of dates available will not adversely impact on your application being considered at this stage, but may have an adverse impact in your being offered the position if by that time the Trust is not in a position to confirm the precise start date.
